Planting 3 Million Trees

In response to the challenges posed by climate change and rising temperatures, Al-Ahsa initiated a comprehensive cross-sectoral campaign aimed at planting approximately 3 million trees within the city, along its outskirts, and on the borders of the Al-Ahsa oasis. This endeavour aligns with Sustainable Development Goals 13 and 15. The campaign witnessed extensive participation from the public, private, and civil society sectors. Simultaneously, an additional environmental initiative was introduced to liberate hundreds of the locally renowned Hasawi Balbool birds from captivity and allow them to return to their natural habitat.
