Participation in the 11th meeting of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) in France

Al-Ahsa Municipality participated in the 11th annual meeting of the member cities of UNESCO's Creative Cities Network, which was held during the period from June 30, 2017 and until July 2, 2017 in Enghien-les-Bains, France.
The history of Al-Ahsa, which extends from the heart of the Middle East and over 7,000 years of time, where Al-Ahsa was settled by the Canaanites and Chaldeans and recently by the Arab tribes, adding that Al-Ahsa is the world's largest and the largest oil field in the world, And socialism that has produced a rich cultural heritage that is rich in my potential T wonderful creative, especially in the field of handicrafts and folk arts, pointing out that Al-Ahsa creative Ahsa is looking to contribute effectively to the achievement of the goals of the creative cities network, and to develop culture and creativity at the heart of local and regional plans for sustainable urban development.
Eng. Adel Al-Mulhem said that Al-Ahsa Municipality is keen to deepen its social role in providing services to craftsmen and to involve them in most events, festivals and events in relation to Al-Ahsa's creative assets which make it among the world's countries. He praised the support and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Saud Bin Nayef, His Highness Prince Badr bin Jalawi, who is continuing the membership of Al-Ahsa in the network of creative cities, as well as the kind and lasting follow-up of the Prince of Heritage, His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman, Chairman of the National Authority for Tourism and National Heritage. Unlimited attention from the presence of our wise leadership.
The coordinator of Al-Ahsa in UNESCO's network of creative cities, Eng. Ahmed Al-Matar, spoke about Al-Ahsa's programs and activities in cultural, tourism and social activities in line with the objectives of the creative network, which has a prominent role in creativity and culture in the implementation of the UN Millennium Development Goals Aims at: (Making cities more humane, inclusive, safe and sustainable), and achieving the real desire and enthusiasm to implement the Al Ahsa creative plan by the joint working group consisting of 10 governmental and private sectors, thus achieving the objectives of the network.
It is worth mentioning that the delegation participating in the meeting included Amin Al-Ahsa, Eng. Adel Bin Mohammed Al-Mulhem, Head of the Task Force, Al-Ahsa member in the network Eng. Ahmed Al-Matar, and media representative of the delegation, the Director of Public Relations and Information at Municipality Khalid Bin Mohammed Bushal. Distributed 300 illustrated books containing the history and heritage of Al-Ahsa, the definition of handicrafts and folklore, as well as gifts from the heritage of handicrafts.
